Margo Farnsworth

Margo Farnsworth has been drawn to nurturing people throughout her career. She’s been a licensed massage therapist since 2005, graduating from The Central Massachusetts School of Massage. She is continually seeking to extend her skills and is passionate about her work. Over the last few years Margo’s approach has shifted to focus on working with the fascia to achieve postural correction. The fascial posture patterning is based on a course called Anatomy Trains, developed by Tom Myers. The techniques she uses during most sessions are based on training in SMRT (Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique), and Biosynchronistics, which are both forms of positional release. Tissues are released by moving the body into the direction of ease, creating slack in the tight tissues. This creates a neurologic affect and the tissues will often happily let go of the tension they are holding. Other techniques that will sometimes be melded into a session are cupping, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and Myofascial Release. She has also trained in Fascial Stretch Therapy, which is a form of assisted stretching involving PNF. Sessions will sometimes consist of both stretching and massage.

Margo also specializes in TMJ and Headache/Migraine massage, using intraoral releases (working inside the mouth while wearing gloves) paired with positional release techniques. She also looks at your posture to see if perhaps something is pulling your jaw out of alignment, that needs to be addressed, such as a torso shift.
